Ashley is loooooved for her birthday (and at all other times too)
Happy birthday my love! I thought I'd do something other than just print things to stick in your card.
Alright so... some of this you probably already know, but whatever. I love you anyway. Also: sorry, but you have nothing to open but the card. Clearly I suck at presents.
Obviously tonight we're at the Hen & Chicken. You may have noticed. The History of Horror Films and Women is yours! The kids might even be asleep by the time we get home, you never know.

But that's not all! Of course it's not. We have other things, such as those that will stop you being at work on Monday. You probably remember what they are, since I'm pretty sure you sent me the website as I was ordering the tickets. But anyway. Saturday night, right near the front: let's do a scream.

We will drive to London. We will doubtless get Starbucks on the way. I'm not putting their logo on here though, I have standards. We're parking at the Barbican, right in the middle of everything.
Before we go to the show, we will need a hotel to go to, because that's the best bit and I have indeed been listening all these years. So we'll head to the Clayton Hotel London Wall, 10 minutes' walk from the car. There, we have a Deluxe Room so there's even a sofa.
Bring your dress. I need to see it. 😛

After that we'll go to Mildred's Covent Garden. Table's booked for 5:45 which gives us over an hour to eat and then we can wander 5 minutes' walk to the theatre before the 8pm showtime.

Then we can choose to wander back on foot, catch the tube back, or head out to the clubs and get wasted. Your choice. Then sleeeeeep because we're old now.
We have breakfast at the hotel too (vegan/gluten free apparently well catered for - we'll see how right the reviews are!).
I decided that it'd be nice to have a whole day to ourselves in London with no commitments so we have all day Sunday to do absolutely bugger all. There's a museum exhibit you mentioned recently, there's the whole of South Bank to walk, there are films to see, there's a hotel room, we could take games, Steamdecks... or whatever else you feel like doing. As long as it's not work.
Yes that's right: we're staying Sunday night too. A whole NO PLAN day.
Breakfast again on Monday before we drive back. 11am checkout. Sleep in!
And yes, probably Starbucks on the way home.

Then home in time to pick the kids up.
I love you, baby - all the ways.
